Beijing parks welcome 12.21m holiday visits

The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Landscape and Forestry announced on Monday that during this year's National Day holiday from Oct 1 to 7, parks in the capital welcomed a combined 12.21 million visits, marking a 7.86 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Highlights included the prosperity-themed flower terrace at the Temple of Heaven Park and the garden city-themed flower terrace at Yuyuantan Park.

Events such as the Colorful Lantern Festival at the Beijing Garden Expo Park in Fengtai district and the National Day Fun Carnival at the Beijing World Horticultural Expo Park in Yanqing district attracted a diverse range of visitors, helping these parks rank among the top 10 most visited parks in the city during the holiday.
