Jinan, the capital of East China's Shandong province, saw a boom in tourism during the National Day holiday from Oct 1 to 7.
According to statistics from the Jinan municipal bureau of culture and tourism, as of Oct 7, 30 key scenic spots monitored in the city saw nearly 4.65 million visitors during the holiday, generating a revenue of 135 million yuan ($19.14 million).
The number of tourists to the World’s Best Spring Scenic Area increased by 10.25 percent compared to the same period last year. Jinan has become a popular holiday destination due to its unique springs.
A variety of nighttime attractions, including cultural and creative hubs, offer an array of new leisure options and experiences, while vibrant night markets, performances, fairs, and light shows contribute to a flourishing night economy.
Districts and counties have introduced various vacation offerings showcasing the charm of rural revitalization, making for a more pleasant holiday getaway.
In addition, the city launched more than 100 cultural and tourism activities in celebration of National Day, including cultural performances and exhibitions.
