"The temperature measurement of each interval in the 110 kV Wujiang power station was normal. During the inspection of the connection of the leads, the fastening of the bolts, and the sealing of the boxes in the station, no abnormal phenomenon was found." On Oct 1, Dai Hongtao, the substation operation and maintenance attendant of the State Grid Ma'anshan Power Supply Company, conducted a special patrol and infrared temperature measurement at Wujiang Substation.
The 110 kV Wujiang power station is responsible for the main power supply tasks in Ma'anshan, Anhui province, and Pukou, Nanjing, Jiangsu province. It serves as one of the power sources for the Jiangbei power supply network and plays a crucial role in the Jiangbei power system. To ensure the bright lights during the festival, Dai Hongtao and his colleagues arrived at the substation early in the morning and silently stuck to their posts. While diligently performing operation and maintenance support during the festival, they remained ready for emergency response at any time.
Dai Hongtao and his colleague Liu Chaolun carefully inspected, measured and recorded each item on the special inspection checklist of the substation, while wearing work clothes, safety helmets, and holding infrared thermometers and other equipment.
It is understood that, in order to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid under its jurisdiction and the reliable supply of power, the substation, considering the characteristics of equipment operation, organized the operation and maintenance personnel to adopt the "intelligent remote patrol + manual patrol" mode. This mode involves conducting special patrols and infrared temperature measurements for all equipment within the substation, performing hidden danger screenings on key equipment, promptly identifying and eliminating any potential hazards and providing detailed daily work reports. Additionally, a specialized supply guarantee and emergency response plan has been established to closely monitor the load and equipment operation of the substation under its jurisdiction, thereby ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the equipment.
The team maintain a 24-hour vigil at their posts to safeguard the lights of countless homes. For substation operations and maintenance personnel on duty, the substation has long been their "home", and different teams of operation and maintenance personnel spend every festival in this "home". "I am on duty during holidays," is the resolute pledge of electric power workers and their heartfelt confession to the motherland. "This is my first year participating in the National Day duty, which is a very honorable and meaningful experience," said Dai Hongtao. Reliable power supply is crucial for countless households. As a substation operation and maintenance personnel, it is our obligation and responsibility to ensure reliable power supply.
