Alshaa League recently announced that six of its projects were selected for national funding, securing a combined total of 4 million yuan ($570,348).
This marked a record in both the number of projects and the amount of financial support received from this source of funding. Among the selected projects, two received 1 million yuan each, while four projects were granted 500,000 yuan each.
One of the major projects is a multifunctional microbial fertilizer development initiative operated by Alshaa Right Banner Sand Industry Management Co.
The other is a key technology research project for high-performance coating titanium electrodes for water disinfection, run by Inner Mongolia Tengger Water Investment Co.
The projects awarded 500,000 yuan focus on various areas, including energy recovery technology and the ecological utilization of local resources.
According to Zhang Hongwei, deputy director of the Alshaa science and technology bureau, the funding aims to bolster regional technology innovation systems, enhance research capabilities and promote technology transfers.
The approved projects are expected to leverage an additional investment of 10.45 million yuan from business enterprises – fostering technological research and achievement conversions across a raft of sectors.
Zhang emphasized the commitment to ensuring timely project initiations and successful outcomes, enhancing the region's economic development.
