CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicle Co showcased its hydrogen-powered regional trains and C-type trains on Sept 24 at the InnoTrans 2024 exhibition in Berlin, Germany, attracting significant attention from attendees.
Known as the "Olympics of the rail transport industry," InnoTrans 2024 runs to Sept 27. It's the largest and most influential rail transport trade fair globally – featuring 42 halls and over 3,000 exhibitors.
The theme of this year's ongoing exhibition – "The Future of Mobility" – emphasizes sustainable transportation solutions.
A big highlight has been the hydrogen-powered regional train, which recently achieved successful testing at speeds of 160 kilometers per hour. The innovation is said to mark a breakthrough in hydrogen energy applications within rail transport.
The train features a robust hydrogen energy system, enabling an efficient and reliable performance.
Additionally, CRRC presented the C-type train, characterized by its sleek blue design. Capable of speeds up to 160 km/h and a capacity of 2,180 passengers, this train combines high-speed rail technology with urban transit needs.
It incorporates advanced features – such as smart services, as well as noise reduction and energy-efficient systems – facilitating seamless connections between mainline and urban rail networks.
Overall, CRRC's contributions to the show are said to have highlighted its commitment to a low-carbon future and intelligent urban mobility solutions – right in line with the evolving demands of regional transportation.
