The 8th Silk Road International Exposition and the Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation Between East and West China will be held in Xi'an from Sept 20 to 24.
Preparations for the exposition are almost complete, entering the final sprint phase, with Xi'an hosting key events like the global partner matchmaking conference of the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) and the international business association trade and investment fair, among others.
Xi'an's districts, counties, and development zones will host 16 investment promotion events, including activities fostering collaboration with the countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
Various districts have already begun hosting related events before the official opening. For instance, Xincheng district organized a forum on Sept 11 to facilitate cooperation opportunities between key enterprises from different regions.
To ensure a successful and safe event, Xi'an has coordinated with nearly 20 units, including public security, health, and emergency services, to provide comprehensive support.
Information desks and personnel will be available throughout the venue to assist attendees with exhibition details, navigation, and transportation. Also, 393 volunteers from universities like Xi'an International Studies University and Xi'an University of Technology will provide language translation and on-site support.
To meet the needs of domestic and international participants, services such as foreign currency payments and specialized flight arrangements have also been introduced to enhance the overall service quality.
