Ceremony kicks off cultural, tourism activities in Shandong

On Sept 15, Qufu, Jining, Shandong province, the birthplace of Confucius, hosted a spectacular opening ceremony for the upcoming cultural and tourism activities of the 2024 China International Confucius Cultural Festival.

From Sept 15 to Oct 7, Shandong will host 152 diverse cultural and tourism activities across all 16 cities in the province. These activities aim to bring Confucius to life and make him more relatable to people of all ages.

The 152 cultural and tourism activities cover a wide range of fields: academic discussions, cultural performances, public lectures, small plays, reading recitals, intangible cultural heritage demonstrations, tourism promotions, and etiquette performances.
