At the Qingdao International Partners Dialogue for High-Quality Development during the Fifth Qingdao Multinationals Summit on Aug 28, Jia Shaoqian, chairman of Hisense Group, expressed Hisense's unwavering confidence in globalization and commitment to win-win cooperation among multinationals.
"The more we engage in deep discussions and the more we gain insights, the more our confidence in globalization solidifies," Jia stated.
He noted that the new industrial development opportunities in Qingdao have strengthened the confidence of multinational companies in collaborating with each other. On the foundation of existing collaborations, Hisense is accelerating comprehensive strategic partnerships with companies such as Bosch in areas such as automotive and home appliances.
From January to July, Hisense's overseas revenue reached 55.6 billion yuan ($7.82 billion), accounting for 47 percent of the group's total revenue, marking a 15 percent increase compared to the previous year.
As Qingdao has opened up more to the outside world over the past 55 years, Hisense has grown from a local enterprise into a multinational corporation with an annual revenue exceeding 100 billion yuan.
The development of Hisense has been closely linked with extensive cooperation with global multinationals. Recent statistics show that Hisense has 4,562 global supply chain partners, including 2,010 with multinational operations. Hisense has collaborated with 61 strategic partners, including Mitsubishi Electric, Infineon, and Renesas, on 243 joint projects and established 15 joint laboratories to conduct research on new materials, processes, and technologies, continuously driving technological innovation and product development.
Jia noted that since the last QMS, he and his colleagues visited many multinational companies in the United States, Japan, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. During these visits, they observed an increased local recognition of Hisense's products, quality, and brand.
