In the first half of this year, Ordos city implemented the Policy List for Promoting the Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements in Ordos, resulting in significant technology transfer progress.
By the end of August, the turnover of technology contracts reached 310 million yuan ($43.06 million), a 37 percent year-on-year increase.
Ordos has utilized the strengths of tech enterprises, universities, and research institutions to drive innovation. These entities have focused on basic research and applied technology development to meet practical needs.
In July, Ordos hosted the World New Energy and New Materials Conference, unveiling seven cutting-edge technological achievements, six of which have already been implemented locally. These projects not only enrich the city's technological reserves but also strongly support industrial upgrading.
Ordos also emphasizes talent development. The city has established a base to train over 500 brokers proficient in technology and market dynamics. These professionals facilitate the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, effectively bridging the gap between supply and demand.
To further optimize the technology transfer environment, the city has launched the Ordos branch of the Mengkeju Technological Innovation, a platform designed to connect technology transfer supply and demand.
Additionally, six collaborative innovation institutions have been established under the "Mengkeju" platform, pooling high-quality scientific and technological resources from within and outside the city.
