On Sept 8, the inauguration ceremony for the graduate training program between Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and Taizhou, Jiangsu province, took place at the Taizhou campus of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine.
During her address, Wan Wenhua, Taizhou's mayor, highlighted that Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine is the cradle of higher Chinese medicine education in China. The Taizhou government has consistently deepened exchanges in industry, academia, and research with the university for over a decade.
The enrollment of graduate students at the Taizhou campus this year is expected to elevate the cooperative education efforts between the university and the local government to new heights, said Wan. She added that Taizhou has pledged full support for developing the university's Taizhou campus.
President of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, Cheng Haibo, emphasized in his speech that the university is set to leverage its high-level research institutions, major pharmaceutical enterprises, and affiliated hospitals to provide robust talent support for meeting the strategic national needs of traditional Chinese medicine and advancing Jiangsu's traditional Chinese medicine industry to a leading position.
