Ten enterprises from Nantong, Jiangsu province, recently attended the 6th China Textile Boutique Exhibition (South Africa) and the South Africa Apparel, Textile, Leather, and Footwear Exhibition in Cape Town.
This marked the official launch of the "2024 Nantong Famous Products Overseas Tour" in South Africa.
Established in 2016, this exhibition is a collaborative effort between the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Textile Industry Branch and Messe Frankfurt South Africa. It has evolved into the premier international professional procurement platform for textiles and clothing locally.
This edition attracted over 100 textile and clothing companies from China and Southern Africa to participate, with 18 companies from Jiangsu showcasing their products at 23 booths.
During the exhibition, Nantong companies not only showcased the rich heritage and innovative strength of the Nantong textile and clothing industry to global buyers but also gained comprehensive insights into the brand positioning, style characteristics, consumer habits, and trends of the South African textile and clothing market through field visits, exchanges, and other activities.
Several Nantong company leaders expressed that South Africa, one of the key export markets for Chinese textile and clothing in Africa, holds immense potential and promising prospects.
Through their active participation, they have acquired a more comprehensive understanding of market trends and customer demands. This has established a solid foundation for the development of new products and the expansion into previously untapped markets.
This year, the city plans to organize multiple "Nantong Famous Products Overseas Tour" events, seizing international market opportunities, continuously empowering foreign trade companies, and fully showcasing Nantong's famous products.
