On Sept 2, the highly anticipated Gui'an New Area Computing Power Industry Cluster and Gui'an Robot Innovation Industrial Park officially opened. This marks a major milestone in the East Data, West Computing initiative.
The project is a groundbreaking collaboration with CEC Optics Valley, integrating cloud, data, and network technologies. This initiative will form a new computing power model, ensuring a cost-effective and efficient industry in Gui'an New Area and Guiyang City.
The project spans 840 mu (56 hectares) with an investment of 13.85 billion yuan ($1.95 billion), and once fully completed, it will offer 500,000 square meters of standardized factory space. The first phase boasts 23 modernized factories, accommodation for 300 people, and advanced infrastructure, creating a promising environment for industry growth.
As a key contributor to the national strategy, Gui'an New Area aims to become a central computing power hub, driving the growth of digital, AI, and big data industries. With strong government support and partnerships, the project is expected to attract top enterprises and enhance the area's development.
Li Minghui, vice President of CEC Optics Valley, emphasized the goal of creating a "core of the data valley," making Gui'an a significant player in China's high-quality digital economy.
