Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) recently launched its urban operation management platform.
Through one-screen monitoring, one-network management, and integrated coordination, the platform serves as OVC's most powerful brain. It precisely monitors urban operations and enhances scientific, refined, and intelligent urban governance.

This "urban brain" integrates district-wide monitoring videos, internet of things sensing, geographic information, and big data resources to conduct four major operations – urban health monitoring, hotspot focus, event handling, and comprehensive dispatch.
Tailored to OVC's specific needs, the platform features 10 customized application scenarios that cover all aspects of urban management and citizen life. These include major project scheduling, comprehensive law enforcement by drones, municipal management, intelligent gas station supervision, and gas regulation.
For example, in municipal management, the platform uses Huashan sub-district as a pilot zone to map data from staff members, patrol vehicles, and surveillance videos. It presents a comprehensive view of municipal maintenance, sanitation, landscaping, and spatial planning, providing data support for municipal planning, construction, and management.
In terms of gas regulation, the platform offers a comprehensive view and analysis of data within the district, enabling source governance and improving the gas industry's safety regulation efficiency.
According to relevant officials, the platform will continue to expand its functions and enrich smart city scenarios, continuously empowering district governance based on the construction of digital public infrastructure at the city and district levels.
