4 WEDZ companies selected as key national 'little giant' enterprises

Authorities have shortlisted four companies in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) as key national "little giant" enterprises. 

The four companies are Wuhan Fanzhou Chuetsu Metal Co, Hubei Dinghui Microelectronics Materials Co, Wuhan Jiachen Electronic Technology Co, and Wuhan Shendong Automobile Electronic Co. 

Dinghui Microelectronics is a potential unicorn company specializing in researching and manufacturing semiconductor materials. It boasts the only domestic and internationally advanced production and research base for polishing pads used in the integrated circuit chip CMP. Its products have already entered the major domestic wafer manufacturer supply chains. 

Fanzhou Chuetsu focuses on researching and producing high-strength, wear-resistant copper alloys primarily used in the automotive and hydraulic industries. It holds the largest market share in China, breaking the decades-long monopoly of foreign companies in this field. 

Jiachen Electronics specializes in the research, development, and manufacturing of high-voltage safety systems for new energy vehicles. It supplies 80 percent of domestic new energy vehicle manufacturers and has held the top market share in its segment nationwide for three consecutive years, with R&D centers located globally. 

Shendong is a well-known developer and manufacturer of automotive sensors and body controllers in China. It ranks among the top three in the domestic sensor segment and covers 80 percent of the commercial vehicle market in China. 

WEDZ now boasts one national-level specialized industrial cluster for SMEs, over 634 large-scale industrial enterprises, 632 innovative SMEs, 271 specialized and innovative SMEs, 41 national-level specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprises, and four national-level key "little giant" enterprises. 

Key "little giant" enterprises are the elite among the national-level specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprises. Related ministries will provide comprehensive financial support to promote the high-quality development of these national-level "little giant" enterprises.
