An event marking 60 days until the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held at the Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition and Trade Center, also known as Hongqiao Pinhui, on Sept 5.
The event, which was attended by over 100 guests, including government officials, CIIE exhibitors, and representatives from major purchasing alliances, was jointly initiated by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, the CIIE Bureau, and the Hongqiao International Central Business District Administrative Committee.
This year, Hongqiao Pinhui has undergone significant upgrades, particularly in Building B, which is being transformed into a premier industrial product launch platform focusing on medical devices, inspection, testing, and smart equipment.
The upgrades aim to enhance Hongqiao Pinhui's level of professionalism through specialized platforms, blockchain-powered coffee ecosystems, livestreaming for import-export and domestic-international trade, and high-end quality inspection services, while also highlighting its functions as a hub for showcasing CIIE outcomes, distributing imported goods, and attracting international trade enterprises.
