The 2024 Chinese Festival kicked off in Tokyo in Japan on Sept 7, offering a two-day celebration of Chinese culture. As a highlight of the festival, East China's Shandong province showcased its rich heritage and vibrant culture through a series of engaging exhibits and performances.

The Shandong pavilion featured eight distinct zones. Each offered a special glimpse into the province's natural beauty, historical sites, traditional Chinese medicine, calligraphy, intangible cultural heritage and more.
Visitors took the opportunity to immerse themselves in Shandong's culture through interactive exhibits and traditional performances.
To enhance the cultural experience, the pavilion hosted a series of wonderful performances showcasing Shandong's unique artistic traditions. Additionally, interactive zones allowed visitors to engage with Chinese culture firsthand.

A popular interactive zone was the traditional Chinese clothing display, where visitors tried on and appreciated the elegance of ancient Chinese attire.
The showcasing of Shandong culture at the 2024 Chinese Festival is widely said to have provided an invaluable platform for cultural exchanges between Shandong and Japan.
The event not only deepened mutual understanding, but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation in various fields – including culture, tourism and trade.
