The 2024 Guizhou International Friendly City Exchange and Cooperation Conference will be held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, from Sept 9 to 11, during the 13th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverage Expo. It will mark the first time that Guizhou has held such an event.
The event aims to explore the advantages of international friendly cities, establish a multilateral cooperation platform, and promote practical exchanges and cooperation among friendly cities.
The event will include activities such as signing ceremonies, friendly city exchange and cooperation meetings, economic and trade investment promotion matchmaking meetings, cultural cooperation matchmaking meetings, exhibitions, promotional activities, and on-site visits.
Guizhou's enterprises, organizations, and universities will engage in in-depth discussions with representatives from friendly cities and organizations on economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges, and other topics.
The event is expected to help Guizhou forge ties with more friendly cities and promote exchanges and cooperation with friendly regions and organizations in countries such as Thailand, Sri Lanka, Georgia, France, Italy, Mongolia, Liberia, and New Zealand.
At the same time, Guizhou will encourage relevant departments, enterprises, and universities within the province to seek more cooperation opportunities and strive to initiate more collaborative projects.
