From January to July, Great Wall Motor's Taizhou base produced 112,700 vehicles, marking a 13.88 percent increase compared to last year.

The Taizhou facility is GWM's fourth largest production base in China and also plays a crucial role in the company's operations in the Yangtze River Delta region. Last year, the base produced 213,000 vehicles and generated revenue of 26.77 billion yuan ($3.77 billion).

The Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone has supported the growth of GWM's Taizhou division. The development zone has spearheaded the formation of an automotive industry alliance to foster closer collaboration between GWM and local suppliers.

The alliance brings together 16 government departments, five financial and research institutions, and 30 local enterprises. It also organizes "Alliance Day" events to strengthen connectivity and facilitate the aggregation and expansion of resources.

Liu Li, a Party official of the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone administrative office, said the alliance has attracted 18 automobile component projects with an investment of 12 billion yuan. It also hosts forums and entrepreneur salons to foster cooperation between local companies like Wanxiang Precision and GWM, added Liu.

Hang Huidong, head of the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone, said the zone aims to build an advanced manufacturing industry cluster by attracting projects involving special fire trucks and heavy truck battery-swapping technologies, driving the industry's transition towards high-end, intelligent, and green development.
