An investment briefing for the China-UAE Industrial Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Zone, a major project serving the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in Abu Dhabi, took place on Aug 16 in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, aiming to encourage local enterprises to invest in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The event featured several financial and international legal experts addressing key problems concerning investment in the UAE and attracted nearly 80 enterprises.
The briefing introduced the UAE's business environment and investment advantages, policies, and cooperation opportunities within the demonstration zone. In addition, local taxes and rules, loan policies for projects involved in the BRI, and policy-backed insurance supports were explained in detail.
Looking ahead, Suzhou is poised to continue to organize diverse matchmaking activities to facilitate communication for enterprises investing in the UAE and collaborate with departments of commerce and foreign affairs, China Development Bank, and China Export and Credit Insurance Corporation (Sinosure) to provide high-quality service for enterprises to invest overseas.
