On Aug 31, Guilin hosted the second Traditional Chinese Medicinal Diet Competition under the theme "Inheriting the Essence of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Promoting Medicinal Diet Culture".
The competition included both theoretical knowledge quizzes and practical cooking challenges, with 31 teams presenting a total of 155 medicinal diet dishes, representing a wide range of culinary creations.

The contestants used fresh ingredients and local medicinal herbs as raw materials, designed dishes rooted in traditional Chinese medicine theories and health concepts, and prepared healthy medicated dishes using various cooking methods.
