Experience 3,000 years of history through a collection of thumb rings from the Jinan Museum to be displayed at the Kaiping Museum in Guangdong. This exhibition features 100 remarkable pieces, spanning from the Shang Dynasty (c.16th century-11th century BC) to the 20th century.
Originally used as a tool to protect the thumb during archery, the thumb ring evolved into an intricate symbol of style and status for males. Made from various materials and showcasing complex designs, each ring tells a story of craftsmanship and cultural significance.
