Ningbo accelerates foreign talent visa processing

In early August, a foreign professional employed by an electrical company in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, found himself stranded in Beijing, unable to return to Ningbo due to his pending visa.

Upon being informed of the situation, the Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Public Security promptly took action, contacting the employer. On Aug 19, bureau officers recommended that the company utilize the online port visa application platform to submit the required documents on behalf of its foreign employee.

With the authorities' assistance, the individual reached Ningbo without delay, prepared to embark on his role as an equipment researcher. This marks Ningbo's successful handling of a port visa for a foreign professional transitioning from Beijing.

Typically, processing a port visa would require approximately five days. However, in this instance, the swift approval within a single day was made possible by the substantial support from the provincial public security department and the Beijing port visa authorities.
