On Sept 1, Wang Yue, a customs broker at Baogang Group International Economic & Trade Co in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, successfully printed a certificate of origin (CO) featuring electronic customs seals and anti-counterfeiting marks through a self-service system.
This issuance marks the first self-printed CO for exports to Vietnam from Inner Mongolia.
The certificate, classified under the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area agreement, pertains to the export of 461.39 metric tons of hot-rolled non-alloy steel sheets, with Vietnam as the destination.
Self-printing of CO allows applicants or their agents to print customs-approved formatted certificates via the International Trade Single Window or the "Internet + Customs" integrated online service platform.
This advancement significantly streamlines the process, reducing the time and effort required to obtain these essential trade documents.
On Sept 1, the General Administration of Customs of China expanded the range of self-printable certificates to include those under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership for Exports to Vietnam, as well as certificates under the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Cooperation between China and ASEAN for Exports to Malaysia and Vietnam.
This enhancement brings the total number of self-printable certificates to 22, covering five free trade agreement partners within the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area.
