The event also marked the launch of a stamp collection activity. Fifteen stamps were designed based on the heritage sites along the Central Axis, which can be found in the stores and post offices. Between Saturday and Sept 30, visitors who have collected 10 stamps can enjoy a special discount when purchasing the merchandise.
A Central Axis-themed post office was co-launched by the Beijing Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Beijing branch of China Post on the day, marking the fifth of its kind.
According to the Beijing Bureau of Culture and Tourism, this showcase is a culture and tourism promotional event after the Beijing Central Axis was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List on July 27. Through the selected merchandise and themed stores, it aims to highlight the cultural significance of the Central Axis and present its inheritance and innovation.
