Shanxi welcomes delegation from Bautzen, Germany

The Shanxi-Bautzen Cooperation Exchange Symposium, organized by the Shanxi Province Investment Promotion Bureau, was held on Aug 27 in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province.

The symposium was a key event during the Bautzen delegation's visit to Shanxi. Udo Witschas, the district administrator of Bautzen, shared his impressions of the visit and outlined plans for future cooperation. Representatives from Shanxi Province's Culture and Tourism Department, Health Commission, Investment Promotion Bureau, and the Shanxi Cultural Tourism Investment Holding Group discussed Shanxi's cooperation situation in medical technology, culture and tourism, and investment policies.

In medical technology, both sides had productive exchanges on elderly care and nurse training. Two Shanxi hospitals signed cooperation agreements with German hospitals. In culture and tourism, three travel agencies from Bautzen and six culture and tourism companies from Shanxi explored collaboration in hotel operations, professional talent training, resource promotion, product promotion, and cross-border tourism between China and Germany.

Before the symposium, the delegation's medical group visited Shanxi Cardiovascular Hospital and Shanxi Bethune Hospital, while the culture and tourism group visited the Shanxi Cultural Tourism Investment Holding Group.
