As the 2024 Taiyuan Energy Low-Carbon Development Forum (TELC) approaches, North China's Shanxi province looks forward to enhancing the forum's international influence by engaging with governments, businesses, institutions, and international organizations from more countries.

The Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Shanxi Province is dedicated to establishing the TELC as a national-level, international, and professional event by playing its diplomatic role. Throughout the years, the forum has welcomed more than 1,000 international guests from over 70 countries and the United Nations. The TELC has become the province's key platform for global exchanges and cooperation, expanding Shanxi's global network of friends.

Following the 2024 TELC Organizing Committee's arrangements, the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Shanxi Province has secured the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the forum's main organizer. International dignitaries, ministerial-level officials, ambassadors to China, representatives of friendly provinces and states, overseas organizations, and foreign government officials will all be invited to participate.

Over 120 international guests from 30 countries and regions have confirmed their attendance. Among them are 15 ministerial-level officials from countries like Mongolia, Zimbabwe, and Hungary, as well as 11 ambassadors from countries including Mexico, Colombia, and Slovakia.

This year marks the 52nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Mexico and the 11th anniversary of the two countries' comprehensive strategic partnership. To support bilateral relations and advance practical cooperation, Mexico will be the guest of honor and host the Guest Country Forum.

During the event, Mexican representatives will discuss the theme of enhancing capabilities to accelerate energy transformation with Shanxi representatives, including department officials, experts, scholars, and business leaders. This theme aims to promote energy transformation and green, low-carbon development.
