Three enterprises based in Suzhou, Jiangsu province — Hengli Group, Sheng Hong Holding Group, and Jiangsu Shagang Group — claimed spots on the 2024 Fortune Global 500 list issued on Aug 5, ranking 81st, 171st, and 383rd, respectively.
Hengli Group, headquartered in Suzhou's Wujiang district, is an international enterprise specializing in oil refining, petrochemicals, polyester new materials, and textiles. The group climbed 42 places this year, marking its eighth consecutive year on the list.
Sheng Hong Holding Group, also based in Wujiang district, is an international high-tech industrial group with integrated development in petrochemical refining, new energy, new materials, and high-end textiles. The group rose by 51 places this year, achieving its fifth consecutive year on the Fortune Global 500 list.
Jiangsu Shagang Group, headquartered in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city of Suzhou, is the largest private steel manufacturer in China. The company has maintained its position on the list for 16 years straight.
