As early autumn arrives in Nantong, Jiangsu province, the city is bustling with the harvest season showcasing a diverse range of farm produce.
In Xishe village, located in Hai'an, villagers diligently harvest water chestnuts. The picturesque scene of villagers rowing buckets to gather water chestnuts in the water fields creates this water town's unique and charming image.
Spanning over 800 mu (53.33 hectares), the Guyixin Fig Planting Base in Rugao is one of the largest in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. It has recently become a popular attraction for residents due to its bountiful harvest. Dried figs from this base are also highly sought after.

Grape enthusiasts flock to graperies in Nantong, such as the Shenyun Grapery in Tongzhou district, to handpick their favorite varieties. Shine Muscat, Queen Nina, Kyoho, Golden Finger, and Summer Black grapes are among the many options in the city.
In addition, Nantong is known for its cultivation of dragon fruits and yellow peaches, which are widely enjoyed by locals. The Mao Family Dragon Fruit Orchard in Rugao is the first of its kind in Nantong, with its produce sold to cities like Shanghai, Suzhou, and Wuxi.
