More than 30 female representatives from Shanxi and Taiwan participated in a special exchange event in Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi province, on Wednesday, to experience the charm of traditional Chinese culture.
The participants visited well-known tourist attractions in Taiyuan such as the Confucian Temple in Taiyuan Ancient County, where they explored historic architectural sites and engaged in hands-on experiences with local intangible cultural heritages like paper-cutting.
The event is part of the 2024 Shanxi Trip for Taiwan Merchants and Youth, taking place from Wednesday to Saturday in cities including Taiyuan, Datong and Jinzhong, to foster cross-Strait communication and friendship. The five-day event featured a diverse range of activities to seek opportunities for cooperation in agriculture, medicine, culture and tourism.
