A delegation of over 20 journalists from various Brazilian media outlets, organized by the Brazilian Workers' Party, visited the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone, also known as the Optics Valley of China (OVC), from Aug 24 to 27.

During their visit, the delegation toured manufacturing companies specializing in laser equipment and drones, gaining a comprehensive understanding of Hubei's high-quality development achievements. They plan to spread the findings of their visit to the Brazilian public through various channels.

At Wuhan Hglaser Engineering Co's high-end equipment manufacturing workshop, delegation members showed keen interest in the large-scale laser cutting equipment on display, inquiring about the matching between the products and the Brazilian market. A staff member from Hglaser's international sales department explained that the workshop focuses on precision machining, primarily serving automotive manufacturers and their component suppliers, with Brazilian clientele including the WEG Group.

The delegation also visited the Wuhan Institute of New Energy and its incubated enterprise, E-Hawk Technology. As a company dedicated to the research, development, and production of industrial-grade drones and drone application services, E-Hawk Technology's showroom displays drones of varying sizes applicable to food delivery, agriculture, transportation, and emergency services. Delegation members expressed interest in drone endurance, payload capacity, pricing, and sale potential in Brazil.

"This layout showcases the government's wisdom and determination in developing high-tech industries," remarked a journalist from a Brazilian news website. In January of this year, the Brazilian federal government announced the initiation of the New Industry Brazil plan, marking a formal step towards industrialization. The journalist believes Hubei's remarkable achievements in high-tech industry development offer valuable lessons and practices to consider when implementing Brazil's new plan.
