Forop Advanced Materials unveils cutting-edge film production line in NETDA

The Forop Advanced Materials Co Ltd held the opening ceremony for its Nantong Smart Industry Park and the commissioning ceremony for the group's 17th globally-leading film material production line at the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) on Aug 22.

Forop specializes in the research, production, and sale of polymer film materials and is a globally-renowned leader in the manufacture of film products.

In 2012, Forop's first-phase project in Nantong was established in NETDA. Over the years, the company has continuously introduced advanced production equipment, emphasized product innovation and upgrades, actively expanded into the Yangtze River Delta region and across the nation, and further increased investments.

In 2022, the second phase of Forop's Nantong Smart Industry Park was signed into effect and put into operation in NETDA, with a total investment of 3 billion yuan ($423.41 million). It introduced four production lines from Germany, boasting the highest single-line production efficiency, the strongest equipment automation level, and the best energy-saving and environmental performance in the world.

During the ceremony, Wang Kangli, a leader of the area, delivered a speech expressing his hope for Forop to operate more high-quality projects in the area. He also said he expected the company to use the opening and commissioning ceremony as a new starting point to continue expanding product research and development channels, exploring new domestic and international markets, and accelerating the transformation of the Nantong base into the largest polyolefin film material production base in the East China region.
