As a key commercial complex in the Guanshan Avenue area, Walmart in the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone, also known as the Optics Valley of China (OVC), reopened on Aug 24 after a major upgrade.

Catering to one-stop shopping needs, Walmart has optimized its product structure, adding new sections for mobile phones, flowers, toys, pet supplies, and local food. The new store focuses on fresh food and family meals, introducing ready-to-cook dishes, refrigerated cakes, fruit platters, and frozen foods. It has also added tasting services and expanded its offering of trendy products like healthy beverages and snacks.
A new highlight of the upgraded store is the global purchasing zone, which offers a selection of directly purchased international brands at competitive prices and guarantees authenticity and quality.

Walmart has established a one-hour express delivery service for nearby areas. The store aims to enhance efficiency, expand product categories, and meet diverse consumer needs across a wider range through various delivery methods such as city-wide, nationwide, and direct supplier delivery options.
This year, OVC will see the opening of several other commercial centers, including Youlin Tiandi that seamlessly connects to the metro station, an upgraded youth-oriented commercial street and a shopping plaza integrated with the natural landscape. These will diversify OVC's consumer scenarios and meet the growing consumer demands of OVC's residents.
