The 2024 Shanxi Shuozhou Ceramics Products Import and Export Fair kicked off on Aug 25 in Yingxian county, Shuozhou city, North China's Shanxi province.
Jointly hosted by the China Ceramic Industry Association and the Shuozhou municipal government, the fair highlights quality innovation, digital e-commerce, and the integration of ceramics and tourism.
The event, which covers an exhibition area of 6,000 square meters, features 74 well-known ceramic manufacturers from Jingdezhen (Jiangxi province), Dehua county (Fujian province), Taiyuan city, and other regions nationwide, alongside 63 local exhibitors from Shuozhou.
The fair invited nearly 200 domestic and foreign trade buyers to promote communication and enhance interaction. It also hosted a series of activities, including a high-quality development forum for the ceramics industry, an investment promotion and product sale conference, and e-commerce live streaming and digital trade events.
In recent years, Shuozhou has been committed to its goal of creating a ceramics industrial chain worth of 10 billion yuan ($1.4 billion) and promoting innovation and transformation within the industry. The city currently boasts 108 ceramic companies across its entire production chain, equipped with over 150 production lines totally and an annual production capacity exceeding 4 billion pieces of daily-use ceramics, which are sold domestically and internationally.
"Moving forward, Shuozhou will further integrate the industrial chain, innovation chain, and talent chain, continuously injecting new impetus into the high-quality development of the daily-use ceramics industry," stated Wu Xiuling, mayor of Shuozhou.
