On Aug 20, the Chilechuan International Animal Vaccine Innovation Conference convened in Hohhot, drawing over 300 domestic and international experts in the field of biological vaccines. Held at the Chilechuan Grassland Conference Center, the event focused on advancing the animal vaccine industry.
In recent years, Hohhot has strategically prioritized the bio-pharmaceutical industry as part of its "six major industrial clusters," fostering the growth of leading vaccine manufacturers. The city has also attracted prominent industry experts, including 12 specialists in animal vaccines, and implemented key technological projects.

During the conference, experts shared insights on innovation-driven development in the bio-pharmaceutical sector. Zhang Gaiping, an academic at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, emphasized the importance of talent, platforms, policies, and capital in driving industry growth. He highlighted Hohhot's achievements, particularly in foot-and-mouth disease vaccine purification, and encouraged the city to continue drawing upon its strengths.
The event also featured the unveiling of the Inner Mongolia branch of the National Pig Technology Innovation Center and the signing of the Hohhot Declaration of the China Northern Borderland Animal Health Corridor, signaling a significant step towards enhancing national biosecurity and public health.
