On Aug 19, FAW Hongqi signed an agreement to supply vehicles for the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
The ceremony occurred in Beijing, where FAW Hongqi committed to providing high-end transportation for the summit's distinguished guests. This marks Hongqi's return to the event, having previously supported the 2018 Beijing summit with a fleet of 290 Hongqi H7 vehicles.
This time, they will supply 620 flagship vehicles to ensure the summit's smooth operation. The fleet includes 60 Hongqi H9 cars that will serve as lead police vehicles for the Ministry of Public Security and 560 vehicles for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the Hongqi H9, HQ9, and Guoyue, designated for VIP transportation.
Hongqi's commitment to safety is evident in its "9H4M" high-strength body structure, explosion-proof tires, and advanced suspension system. The fleet ensures top-tier safety for all attendees with dual precision detection systems and extensive driver assistance features.
The 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation will take place from Sept 4 to 6. As a symbol of Chinese automotive excellence, FAW Hongqi is set to demonstrate the nation's industrial prowess on the global stage.
