The new site of the China-ASEAN Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) International Exchange and Cooperation Exhibition Center was officially inaugurated in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Aug 8.
The center offers functions related to exhibition and trade, while also hosting high-end conferences and providing publicity services. Located in the Guiyang International Fashion Center, the new site covers an area of approximately 800 square meters.
The center serves as an important platform for the dissemination of TCM culture and products in Guizhou, and connects and serves domestic and international industry partners.
In May 2021, the RCEP Industrial Cooperation Research Institute and the secretariat of the China-ASEAN TCM Industry Cooperation Committee were established in Guiyang's Nanming district. Seizing this opportunity, the district promoted the construction of a provincial TCM comprehensive service demonstration zone.
Leveraging Guizhou's abundant medicinal resources and rich ethnic medicine culture, as well as its advantageous location, transportation, commerce, and services, the district boosted the completion and operation of the China-ASEAN TCM International Exchange and Cooperation Exhibition Center in September 2022.
The center is expected to connect with RCEP and ASEAN markets, promote Guizhou's traditional medicine and healthcare to the international market, and introduce high-quality international Chinese medicine resources and services.
The relocation aims to enhance the center's role as a promotional window for Guizhou's TCM culture and industry, strengthen cooperation between Guizhou and ASEAN countries in the TCM, culture and tourism industries, further propel Guizhou's market-oriented TCM healthcare tourism industry, and contribute to the high-quality development of Guizhou's economy.
