Xi'an provides convenient government services

Since the beginning of the year, Xi'an has been actively exploring new reforms under the one-stop government services initiative, accelerating the construction of the "iXi'an" comprehensive service portal and launching a series of initiatives to establish the government service brand.

On Aug 14, a woman surnamed Lei, an operator at Xi'an Ruiheng Human Resources Co, shared her experience. Under the one-stop government services initiative, she obtained both the "human resources service license" and the "human resources service filing certificate" through a single online application via the Shaanxi Government Service Network (Xi'an). Such convenient and efficient services save business costs and boost confidence in future development.

As part of Xi'an's commitment to completing 30 practical tasks for the people this year, the city has already exceeded its annual target by establishing and operating 38 new government service stations. These ongoing efforts to streamline government services for the public and businesses are enhancing the business environment and making it easier and more reassuring for enterprises and the public to handle affairs.

The Xi'an municipal bureau of administrative approval service has developed a WeChat applet for special assistance services. This initiative provides door-to-door assistance services throughout the city for over 400,000 individuals with disabilities, those with mobility challenges, and people over 80 years old. So far, 28 service items have been launched, assisting over 31,000 individuals.

Through the "iXi'an" App, businesses and the public can handle high-frequency matters such as social security, employment, housing, and education without leaving their homes. According to the plan, the rate of mobile service handling is expected to reach 70 percent by the end of the year.
