The "education+" initiative will be implemented during the 2024 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, which will be held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Aug 20-25.
By focusing on education and extending its reach to areas such as technology, culture, tourism, sports, youth, and media, the initiative is expected to serve as an important innovative measure to enhance China and ASEAN's cooperation in various fields.
The initiative will include 12 projects in five areas, including "education+humanity," which will feature activities such as the China-ASEAN Thousand Schools Hand in Hand Action Plan, the China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week, and an "education+humanity" exhibition.
"Education+economy" will feature activities such as cross-border e-commerce livestreams and the cultivation of live-streaming talents and students from Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and other countries.
"Education+industry" will feature China-ASEAN agricultural vocational college international cooperation training, an exhibition of Guizhou's mountain agriculture achievements, and a promotional activity for Guizhou's agricultural technologies and cooperation projects.
"Education+technology" will strengthen cooperation between universities in China and ASEAN in the development of science and engineering disciplines, joint-cultivation of talent, and teacher exchanges.
"Education+culture, sports, and tourism" will feature events like youth soccer invitation tournaments, Guiyang road concerts, international young people visiting Guizhou, and the display of industry-education-research-application achievements of vocational skills for electronic sports.
