Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) has made significant strides in creating a seamless, efficient, and convenient registration service for business entities, focusing on the processes for business establishment, modification, and deregistration.

WEDZ has streamlined application forms and submission materials into new, consolidated forms. Businesses can now select required services through a self-service menu, consolidating multiple form into one system and reducing the number of submission materials by 60.

Online applications are forwarded to relevant licensing departments for parallel approval. Over 200 assistants actively provide frontline services, allowing businesses to start operating on the same day they register. From January to July this year, the number of business entities increased by 166.72 percent year-on-year.

WEDZ has also synchronized related permit changes with relevant business systems, eliminating the need for businesses to visit multiple departments., allowing for certificate and license linkage, parallel approval, and one-window issuance. The reform includes personalized approval flowcharts, clearly defining responsibilities and processing times, enhancing coordination and efficiency.

The application of electronic certificates has been promoted across industries, departments, and fields, reducing the need for physical certificates.

WEDZ has also streamlined the deregistration process, addressing the recurring issue of business licenses being canceled while associated permits remained active. By reviewing all stages of the business exit process, WEDZ ensures consistent management and standards.

Authorities will continue to identify and address challenges faced by enterprises, providing value-added support services to further enhance the business environment.
