This year marks the second anniversary of China-Europe trains operating from Wuxi, Jiangsu province.
In 2022, Wuxi saw the departure of China-Europe trains carrying a combined 1,294 twenty-foot equivalent units. Last year, this number doubled to 4,138 TEUs, with cargos valued at approximately 732 million yuan ($102.55 million).
In the first six months of this year, Wuxi experienced a 16 percent increase in China-Europe train departures, totaling 2,500 TEUs compared to the same period last year.

The smooth departure of China-Europe freight trains from Wuxi stands as a solid testament to the city's growing international economic and trade cooperation and a vivid example of jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative.
As time passes by, Wuxi's China-Europe freight trains have increasingly integrated new elements. For example, the Wuxi West Railway Station Logistics Park has achieved several "firsts" in Jiangsu, including implementing integrated management with Wuxi Customs through an intelligent system, which has greatly facilitated local foreign trade enterprises.
In the second half of this year, Wuxi is anticipated to dispatch 550 China-Europe trains.
