Huangshan drives large-scale industrial equipment upgrades

Since the beginning of 2024, Huangshan has actively promoted the implementation of 167 industrial equipment renewal projects, leading to a 38.9 percent year-on-year increase in technological transformation investment, which surpasses the provincial average by 8.9 percent.

Huangshan has developed a comprehensive work plan for industrial equipment renewal. Between January and June, 117 large-scale equipment renewal and transformation projects were planned, involving 115 enterprises and 11,438 sets of equipment for a total procurement value of 1.27 billion yuan ($178 million). Ten major industrial equipment renewal projects, each with an investment exceeding 100 million yuan, have been recommended to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for a total investment of 3.48 billion yuan.

Huangshan has assisted 53 industrial equipment renewal projects in securing 30.86 million yuan in provincial support funds, enabling 577 enterprises to initiate renewal and transformation efforts. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has recommended special re-loans for 10 key industrial technology transformation and equipment renewal projects, totaling 1.29 billion yuan in investment.

Key industries such as equipment manufacturing and auto parts have been organized to facilitate supply-demand and financial matchmaking activities. Training sessions on green manufacturing system construction were held for key enterprises in traditional industries like chemicals, building materials, and textiles. Digital diagnostic services have been provided to 341 enterprises, achieving a digital transformation rate that ranks fourth in the province.
