Samyang Foods, South Korea's oldest instant noodle company, launched its official Douyin flagship store and started the store's first livestream at the Hongqiao Pinhui E-commerce Livestreaming Base on Aug 1, marking a new milestone in its e-commerce strategy. This move follows a series of record-breaking sales through expanded live streaming channels.
The company, established in 1961, operates in over 100 countries and has a significant presence in the global market. Its star product, the Hot Chicken stir-fried noodle series, has sold over 5 billion units globally since its 2012 launch.
In 2020, Samyang Foods debuted at the third China International Import Expo (CIIE), receiving high praise. Following this success, it established its China headquarters, Samyang Foods (Shanghai) Co Ltd, in 2021. As a four-time CIIE exhibitor, Samyang Foods continues to leverage the expo's influence. This year, it will participate in the seventh CIIE.
The Hongqiao Pinhui E-commerce Livestreaming Base, featuring cross-border tax exemptions, is dedicated to establishing a public service platform focusing on the CIIE and Silk Road E-commerce. It hosts 59 diverse live streaming rooms and advanced technologies catering to various live streaming needs, positioning itself as a leader in the industry.
