On Aug 13, the X8153 China-Europe freight train departed from the Xi'an Guogang Railway Station, embarking on its 11,300-kilometer journey westward toward Europe loaded with mechanical parts, household items, and other goods.
This marks the China-Europe Xi'an freight train's impressive milestone of surpassing 3,000 trips in 2024, maintaining its leading position nationwide in key areas such as trip frequency, cargo volume, and container load rates.
This departure is also the first across the Caspian and Black Seas for the freight train. The upgrading of its route will boost international transportation efficiency and intermodal transport effectiveness, creating new trade routes that ensure stable exports for businesses.
The train will pass through Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Serbia, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic before reaching Mannheim, Germany around Sept 9.
It contributes to making Xi'an a central hub for the China-Europe freight train network, supporting Shaanxi's reform and opening-up efforts, and providing strong transportation capacity to facilitate the high-quality construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.
