3rd Jinan Intl Biennale to be themed on 'The Age of Human Wisdom'

The Third Jinan International Biennale, themed on "The Age of Human Wisdom", will take place from December 2024 to April 2025 in Jinan, exploring how new technologies impact contemporary artistic practices, society, and everyday life.

With the rapid advancement of new quality productive forces, particularly artificial intelligence, the relationship between humans and the world, technology, civilization, and art is being reshaped at an unprecedented and unimaginable pace, according to the curatorial team.

While the future trajectory of society remains uncertain, it is essential to focus on the development of human intellect and creativity alongside the growth of AI technologies, the curatorial team said.

From the perspective of art history, art is an expression of emotion. Regardless of the technological revolutions or changes that occur, art remains, at its core, an intellectual creation, they added.

The Jinan International Biennale, the first government-sponsored and professionally curated international biennale brand in Shandong province, has been held twice since its inception in 2020.

The exhibition upholds a commitment to academic and innovative excellence, emphasizing the contemporary relevance and creative transformation of traditional Chinese culture and fostering cross-cultural dialogue and artistic production in a global context.
