Hubei province is a red land and it has left a significant mark on the history of the Chinese revolution, with events such as the 5th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the August 7th 1927 Meeting of the CPC, the Huangma Uprising, the Battle of Wuhan and the Breakout on the Central Plain all taking place here.
