The final box beam was placed on the Hangzhou-Quzhou Railway on Aug 5, marking a significant milestone.
The railway, designed for speeds up to 350 kilometers per hour, includes six stations: Jiande, Jiande South, Longyou North, Qujiang, Quzhou West, and Jiangshan.
With a total investment of approximately 23.6 billion yuan ($3.29 billion), the project features 108 large and medium bridges and 38 tunnels, resulting in a bridge-tunnel ratio of 83.7 percent.
Once operational, the railway will offer multiple routes connecting Quzhou and Hangzhou. This will foster closer integration between the two cities and significantly contribute to the high-quality development of western Zhejiang.
