On July 25, South Korea's Gigalane signed an agreement to establish its Chinese headquarters and build a semiconductor etching equipment R&D and manufacturing base in Wuxi New District.
Gigalane is well-known for its semiconductor etching machines, LED component etching equipment, and nanoimprint lithography devices. The company's LED etching equipment consistently ranks among the top in global sales.
Gigalane's chairman, Kim Hyun-je, expressed confidence in establishing the company's Chinese headquarters in Wuxi, citing the city's robust industrial support, favorable business environment, and dynamic innovation atmosphere.
Zhao Jianjun, mayor of Wuxi, emphasized that the integrated circuit industry is a key sector for the city, renowned for its early advantages, comprehensive ecosystem, and significant growth potential. He expressed a desire to collaborate with Gigalane to attract more IC enterprises to the region and develop a high-quality IC ecosystem in Wuxi.
