The 2024 Hohhot Light and Shadow Art Festival opened with pizzazz on July 27 at the Dahei River Military Culture Park in Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The ongoing festival features 3D building projections, a capybara park and interactive parades.
Collaborating with French design and creators of video shows and immersive experiences group BK International, the festival is said to present a stunning 3D mapping projection on the surface of the park's train station.
The event showcases six major highlights and 10 series of activities. These include digital images, light and sound art installations, camping, music, performances, traditional crafts and food – creating a unique cultural experience.

Additionally, the park has introduced the region's first capybara park, where 10 adorable examples of the giant South American rodent are making made their debut. Renowned local art groups are also performing captivating parades, along with mesmerizing fire performances.
The festival runs for a month and will conclude on Aug 25.
