The commerce bureau of Xinwu district, also known as Wuxi New District, and the Shanghai office of Malaysian Investment Development Authority hosted a meeting on July 24 to explore new pathways for industrial cooperation between the two sides.
The event aimed to deepen WND enterprises' understanding of the economic and trade prospects of cooperation between China and Malaysia, as well as Malaysia's investment policies, while offering a closer look at the latest investment opportunities in Malaysia.
Steven Cheng Seng Hock, director of MIDA's Shanghai office, said Malaysia's investor-friendly policies, strategic location, rich talent pool, robust engineering support industry, and developed ecosystem create a stable, transparent, open, and efficient investment environment.
MIDA serves as the first point of contact for investors interested in manufacturing and related services in Malaysia. It operates 12 branches across various states in Malaysia to assist investors with implementing and managing their projects.

AME Elite Consortium Bhd and another real estate company showcased their industrial parks in Malaysia, which feature comprehensive infrastructure and offer extensive support and convenience for businesses. The parks include standard factories of various sizes to meet a diverse array of business needs.
On behalf of WND enterprises investing in Malaysia, Liu Jun, chairman of Unicomp, provided insight into the characteristics of different Malaysian states, helping businesses make more informed investment decisions. Unicomp's Malaysia factory, located in Johor, spans nearly 5,000 square meters and focuses on X-ray inspection equipment.

Hua Yanhong, deputy director of the WND administrative committee, noted during the event that as a member of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), Malaysia is a key trade partner of China in the ASEAN region. She expressed hope that both sides will seize opportunities, enhance mutual trust, and promote bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
