Jinan's GDP up 5.3% in H1

Jinan's GDP for the first half of this year reached 614.43 billion yuan ($84.7 billion), an increase of 5.3 percent year-on-year, according to the Jinan Municipal Statistics Bureau on July 26.

The added value of Jinan's primary, secondary, and tertiary industries reached 19.27 billion yuan, 194.47 billion yuan, and 400.7 billion yuan, respectively, up 3.5 percent, 5.6 percent, and 5.2 percent year-on-year.

The total output value of the agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery industries in Jinan reached 35.79 billion yuan in the first half of this year, an increase of 3.8 percent year-on-year.

During the first half of this year, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 4 percent year-on-year. Among them, the computer communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry grew rapidly, with a year-on-year increase of 30.8 percent, while the automobile manufacturing industry increased by 4.5 percent year-on-year.

Fixed asset investment in the city increased slightly by 0.3 percent year-on-year in the first half of this year. Specifically, infrastructure investment grew by 4.8 percent, which was 4.5 percentage points higher than the city's average, contributing 1.5 percentage points to the city's investment growth. Investment in the transformation of manufacturing technology increased significantly, with a year-on-year growth of 8.3 percent, which was 8 percentage points higher than the city's average.

Total retail sales of consumer goods in Jinan were valued at 232.71 billion yuan in the first half of this year, an increase of 1.4 percent year-on-year.

General public budget revenue was 59.94 billion yuan, an increase of 4.5 percent year-on-year.

Imports and exports saw a slight decline of 0.6 percent year-on-year, with a value of 98.96 billion yuan in the first half of this year. Exports were valued at 68.86 billion yuan, an increase of 8.7 percent, while imports were valued at 30.1 billion yuan, a decrease of 16.7 percent.

The consumer price index (CPI) for the first half of the year rose by 0.3 percent, indicating mild price increases and overall stability.

The per capita disposable income of residents was 27,280 yuan, an increase of 5.4 percent year-on-year. Among urban residents, the figure was 32,265 yuan, an increase of 4.8 percent year-on-year, while the figure for rural residents was 15,578 yuan, an increase of 6.7 percent year-on-year.
